STOP EVERYTHING! Right now, think about your business for
a few minutes. With these next few moments think about your business growth (or
decline) this past year. Are you smiling or is there a crease in the center of
your forehead? Either way, there are probably things that you remember that
were great, and things that, well to put it nicely, did not make your smile any
wider!
As you reflect, name three things that worked well for
you this last year. Did you set goals, have consistent meetings, work on your
business every day (honestly, did you?)
Did you find your profits in line with your efforts? Do you feel you “clicked”
with your business? Grab a pen and paper—any pen and paper that’s handy and jot
down everything you can think of that went well.
Equally, did you find things that you’ll never try again?
Things that were more work than worth it? Effort that despite your best tries
just wasted your time and money? Jot those down in a separate column. Just
write whatever you can remember that sticks in your mind—good or bad. Don’t
edit it, don’t take too much time. Remember, this is a quick and simple task
and you have lots of other tasks to do.
By just taking a few minutes writing down these thoughts
will work wonders for you when you sit down for your yearly planning session
for next year. You do take time for a yearly planning session don’t you?
Even if you’ve never taken the time to plan for your
business before you will now because you already have a head start on what will work for you and what won’t. If you’ve done
this simple task you will know exactly what works and what doesn’t and what to
keep doing to get your business even more profitable.
Even if all you came up with was a simple way to provide amazing service, keep doing it! Make it a weekly task in your business and you will surely see the rewards from that task. Now go grab a cup of tea and a cookie. You deserve it!

These tips can help you get more sales from your online customers.
Product of The Day Sale
Each day offer a different product or service at a lower price. This will draw people back to your web site. This is a
high traffic generating sale. If you don't have a lot of products and services
you may want to run the sale weekly or monthly. You can opt to advertise what
tomorrow’s special will be. This will help people bookmark your site to return
if they don’t want what you have today, but are interested in tomorrow’s
promotion.
Magic Hour
Choose a time of day to lower your prices or offer a special promotional
offer. (Be sure to also
specify a time zone.) Announce your scheduled times on your site or in your
ezines and business cards. This will give people enough time to plan when they
will visit your web site. Be sure to send out reminders the day before or
earlier on the day of the sale to remind people. This is an excellent reason to
email your customer and stay on their mind!
